Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Greetings everyone!

We hope that you had a blessed Christmas and a fantastic New Years celebration. Christmas was quiet for us... the most traditional we have had since moving to Africa and very relaxing. New Years, Pete and Meagan went north to Oshikuku and the boys and I stayed home. The boys had some friends over for a celebration... it was a LONG night! I think I got to sleep about 4 AM! It wasn't so bad... they had a good time. Meagan and Pete seemed to be having fun next to a big bonfire at midnight when I phoned. We all talked to Talitha, I held the phone next to the microphone and speaker on the computer so they could chat back and forth over MSN.

Now that we are into a New Year, I am praying that things will start moving up hill for us for a while... it has been a rapid downhill slide over the past couple of months. Many stresses and discouragements which have knocked the wind out of our sails. We need prayer and we need it desperately, as a family, as a couple, as a believer, as a missionary! The stress this year has affected every area of our lives. If you want more details please just email and ask. Things change like the wind around here and I don't want to be specific on the net!

Anyway, we appreciate your prayers and your love and support for our family! Thank you to all of you who sent money for Christmas gifts this year... it was greatly appreciated. I purchased family orientated things like games... hopefully we can spend more time together as a family and rebuilding the unity.

God Bless!
Charlene for the gang
